Notifications
Configure when and how Dinnerbord sends you dinner planning reminders.
Dinnerbord sends push notifications to remind your household to plan dinners. Because Dinnerbord is a web app, notifications require you to install it as a PWA (Progressive Web App) on your device first. This is a quick one-time step.
Why there is no native app
Dinnerbord does not currently have a native iOS or Android app. For iOS apps, Apple requires all subscriptions sold through the App Store to go through their in-app purchase system, which takes a 15-30% cut. Offering a native app on those terms would mean a significantly higher subscription price for you. By staying on the web, we keep the price fair and pass the savings on to you. Installing Dinnerbord as a PWA gives you a near-native experience on any device.
