Meal Planning Overview

Understand how dinner planning works in Dinnerbord and how it connects to your grocery list.

Dinnerbord's meal planning is built around a simple weekly calendar. Each week your household suggests and agrees on dinners, and you can generate a shopping list from the plan.

How it works

  1. Recipes - Build a library of dinner recipes your household enjoys.
  2. Weekly plan - Members suggest dinners for each day. Others can support a suggestion with a +1, and the organizer verifies what gets planned.
  3. Grocery list - Once the week is planned, go to the Grocery List page and press Regenerate to build the shopping list from your planned dinners.

Planning together

Every member of your household can view the weekly plan and make suggestions. When enough people +1 a suggestion, or an organizer approves it, it becomes the planned dinner for that day. The organizer has final say and can verify any suggestion at any time.
